Evaluation: James Stallons is a Midwest late-bloomer with fantastic height and a strong right arm. James Stallons reminds us of Wisconsin's last few quarterbacks - tall, lanky and better passers than they are given credit for. He is extremely lean and must add significant bulk and strength. James Stallons is a classic drop-back passer who shows great drop speed and smoothness and is very effective on five- and seven-step drops. Gains great depth, can see the enitre field and does a great job of working through progressions. James Stallons has a good arm and is most effective on intermediate routes. James Stallons timing is excellent and is set and balanced when delivering the ball. Can hit the deep comeback and skinny post and does an adequate job pushing the ball vertically. Shows excellent touch in the red area. Shows good RPMs on underneath throws and is extremely accurate when set. Throws a very catchable ball. However, James Stallons is strictly a pocket passer. James Stallons will not create a lot on his own. James Stallons tends to cup the ball in his delivery and has a long release at times. Other times he is a quick-strike guy -- needs to be more consistent with his mechanics. Overall, James Stallons has a chance to really develop if in the right offense.
