Undrafted Badger Waits and Waits During Lockout
Undrafted free agents are not feeling so comfortable right about now. Due to the lockout they can't land a job -- at least, not an NFL job.
Former Badgers safety Jay Valai is patiently waiting and working out in Madison with a few former teammates.
Valai says he received a few phone calls from interested teams during the NFL Draft, namely the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It's a tough year to be a rookie free agent, but Valai is staying positive.
"It's going to be harder. I'm motivated not going to let anything stop me. That's the mentality you have to have in a situation like this. Most of the time we'd have minicamps and OTAs, but we're going right into the fire. Whenever the opportunity comes, I need to take advantage of it."
